Changes and Cancellations
Learn rules, clarify doubts, and know what to do to change or cancel a flight.
You may change or cancel a flight in up to 1 year after you issue your ticket. To do this without charging fees, you must request a change in up to 24h after the purchase and at least 7 days prior to the boarding date.
If you don’t meet these criteria, you will have to pay either change or cancellation fees. In case of changes with our without fees, the fare difference between flights could be charged. In case you wish to receive a money refund of the ticket remaining value, fees may be charged.
Remember: you can choose to receive a refund in Azul Credits. For this reason, you will have an amount to be used whenever you wish in another trip, and you won’t need to pay refund fees.

Azul Credits is a value linked to your CPF or Tudo Azul number. You can use it to buy your next trips.
When you change or cancel a flight, a part of the value spent on the ticket may remain after you pay the fees. In this case, you may choose to receive it in Azul Credits.
Remember: if you choose Azul Credits, it may take 72h for the value to appear in your Azul Loyalty program account. Besides, the credits are valid for 1 years as of the booking purchase date.

You may change or cancel a direct flight on the Azul app here. Learn the steps:

Have your booking data (such as code and origin) with you.
02.
Select “Find Booking” or “Cards” and enter the data.
03.
In “Flights,” select “change flight” or “cancel flight” and follow the guidelines.
You may also request it on our site on “Bookings” or at the airport.
Remember: to select via site or Azul app, the change and cancellation fees that are charged have their value reduced.
Attention: in some cases, you can only change or cancel a flight via Customer service. Learn more:
- If the change is only for some of the passengers in the booking;
- If the new flight is to take off in less than 2h before the moment of request.

Did you book with Travel Agencies or partner companies? In these cases, changes and cancellations can only be made by them.
You must directly contact the site or company where you purchased your ticket or package.

If you requested a refund and haven’t received it yet, please see the deadlines below:
- For refunds via credit card: they are carried out in up to 2 invoices, counting from the cancellation fees payment confirmation date;
- For refunds via Azul Credits: they are made within 72h.

If you received either a message or an e-mail informing you that your flight has been changed or cancelled, don’t worry! You will not be charged for any values or fees because of this change.
In the case of changes, you may accept the options offered by our team or change/cancel your flight at no costs. If you prefer, you may also make changes in our site or app in the bookings section.
In case of cancellation, you may choose to receive the value paid in Azul Credits or a money refund with no fees in the payment method chosen at the moment of purchase.

Did you find any personal data that came out wrong when you issued your ticket? Such as name, birth date, or document number?
You can request corrections without having to pay any fees for it. All you need to do is send a message here to Céu/Sky, Azul’s Virtual Assistant. Remember that the request will go through an assessment process and might be denied.

Credits are valid for 1 YEAR FROM ORIGINAL BOOKING CREATION DATE and may be used for paying fares, fees, products, and services.
